We are super excited to share that starting in April, Scoptvision is partnering with Telenet! Specifically, with Blossom, a separate company within Telenet that will initially focus on installing and activating smart charging stations for employees of companies. Mechelen, March 18, 2024 – Starting April 1, Telenet is launching Blossom, an innovative “all-in-one” digital solution for the installation of charging stations and the smart charging of electric vehicles. With this initiative, Telenet once again strengthens its offering of digital services that make life easier. Blossom is a separate company within the Telenet group, initially focusing on installing and activating smart charging stations for employees of companies. Later, a solution for self-employed individuals and consumers will follow. The new company will partner with Scoptvision, Optimile, and Unit-T, among others. Blossom will be led by Dann Rogge as General Manager and will continue to operate from Telenet’s headquarters in Mechelen for the time being.

Energy transition, a new opportunity for Telenet:
The energy transition is in full swing and brings new opportunities, but also challenges. For households, this evolution can sometimes be overwhelming. The switch to electric driving raises questions such as, “Where do I order a charging station? How will my employer reimburse me for the electricity I provide? What if I change employers? Will I need to install a new charging station? How can my partner also use my charging station?” Current and future electric vehicle drivers are looking for a guide to relieve their concerns and help them make the right choices.
By 2030, an estimated 1.7 million electric vehicles will be on the roads in Belgium. Electrification is currently mainly focused on company cars. However, private customers are also increasingly making the switch. This evolution requires the development of the necessary charging infrastructure: both public, at work, at destinations, and also at home. Since charging anxiety is a significant barrier to the adoption of electric vehicles, the ability to charge at home is crucial. According to a Deloitte study, 65% of charging will take place at home. Current expectations are for 800,000 home installations by the end of the decade. Unfortunately, the customer experience with such home installations is not always smooth.
Blossom, ally of customers in relieving concerns during the energy transition
That is why Telenet is launching Blossom today, with a clear ambition: to become an ally of customers during the energy transition, with innovative and simple home solutions. Specifically, Blossom is starting by offering a service to smartly charge your electric vehicle at home. Initially, the focus is on the corporate market. In a later phase, Blossom will also offer charging services directly to self-employed individuals and private consumers.
The new company comes with a comprehensive solution that simplifies the customer experience. Blossom builds on Telenet’s extensive experience in smart and connected home services. Blossom customers can align their charging sessions with solar power, peak consumption, and later also dynamic rates. This solution was developed in collaboration with Scoptvision and Optimile.
Supported by an ecosystem of partners

Four Blossom is built on an ecosystem of strong and high-quality partners such as Unit-T, Scoptvision, and Optimile. Unit-T is responsible for home installations and field interventions. Scoptvision from Herent contributes its knowledge and experience in energy optimization for the smart control of the charging station. Optimile, with BNP Paribas Fortis as the main shareholder, is a leading player specializing in Charging-as-a-Service software for both Charge Point Operators and Mobility Service Providers. Other partners may be added later.
Blossom will be launched on April 1 this year. In the coming months, Telenet will migrate its entire electric fleet of company cars to Blossom. Additionally, the company is pleased that a pilot project will also start with part of BNP Paribas Fortis’s vehicle fleet.
